JoAnn Guida As I was sitting here, working from home, I was thinking back to my first car that I bought. Mom and Dad let me drive the old Chevy station wagon, which at times I would have to take out the screwdriver and jump the starter to get it running. I really got some funny looks from people when I had to do that. Then I was allowed to drive the VW Bug, it was a stick shift.
62 Plymouth Valiant
My first car, I bought, was a 1962 Plymouth Valiant, automatic with air. I bought it from a family that I had babysat for. Carole and Joe were GREAT – they let me babysit for the cost of the car. You could not find a better deal than that. To this day, over 40 years now, we still keep in touch and up to date with how our families are doing.
The Valiant got me through junior college and into my 3rd year of college and then some. Next car was a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 1974 Nissan 260Z Sports Car, 1980 Nissan B-210, 1984 Honda Prelude, 1985 Ford Ranger, 1984 Cadillac El Dorado, 1987 Nissan 300ZX, 1989 Toyota Corolla, 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.
95 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep is the one I’ve had the longest, 14.5 years now. It recently turned 180,000 miles and is going strong. I actually have 3 favorite cars, first the Jeep as it keeps going and has taken me many places. Next would be the 260Z and the 300ZX.
Here is a picture of my next car, it is the Nissan Nismo Z. It will be a reward for my hard work in my internet marketing business.

Naturally, I’ll keep my Jeep because it is so dependable and handy to move things around and really because it’s part of my family.
