Snow on the Roofs
This morning when I woke up and looked outside I saw something I have not seen in many years – SNOW. The lawns were barely covered and the neighbors’ roofs were white, instead of green, from the snow. I looked out at the porch and it too had snow on it.
The high today, 36 degrees and the low expected for tonight is 22 degrees. This is a very drastic weather change for me coming from Florida. The cold reminds me of the one and only winter, 20 years ago, that I spent working in Dover, New Hampshire. The one week of minus 30 degree wind chill factor was more than enough for me. I did eventually move back to Florida the next fall.

Snow on Porch
They say that there is not much snow that really sticks around here in Blairsville, Georgia, but the icy roads, Black Ice they call it, are very dangerous when driving. Never had that problem either in Florida, just hurricanes and you had time to prepare for them or leave. I’ll hunger down and see how the winter develops.
I can really relate to the Snowbirds that go to Florida each winter. They say Blairsville is a great place in the summer, with lots to do and enjoy – Here’s hoping I make it through the winter. I’ll keep you posted in my blog if I don’t freeze.

Snow on Jeep
Hope you enjoy the pictures of the snow and my gray Jeep on the other side of my friends red SUV. My poor Jeep is saying, “Take me back to Sunny Florida” you can work from home there on your blog and internet marketing, please.”
I guess winter is the time to reflect on things as we sit inside by the fireplace and enjoy a hot totty. I’m thankful for my family and friends and know that 2010 is going to be the best year yet.
Enjoy your winter wherever you are and be happy and keep warm.
